Mining, Mineral Processing and Ore Analyses Technical Committee No 221 established at KGHM CUPRUM Ltd. R&D Centre in Wrocław offers the elaboration of Polish Standards of its activity range. In connection with widening, by the Polish Committee for Standardization, the scope of the Committee activity by the issues concerning chemical analyses of raw materials and mineral processing products we are the leading Committee within the international co-operation with Technical Committee ISO TC 183 "Copper, lead and zinc ores and concentrates" www.iso.org
We implement the ISO and IEC international standards into the set of Polish Standards within the confines of adapting our regulations to the requirements and directives of EU.

The standards developed by our committee are used during attestation in order to assure the safety of utilisation of offered goods and services, and are the basis for certification, in accordance with Certification and Test Act. Our standards superbly support the quality (ISO 9001), environment (ISO 14001), accredited laboratories (ISO 17025) and work health and safety (PN 18001) management systems. Within the procedures and processes description we directly quote their statements. Our experience is proved by TÜV NORD certificates for the Integrated System Quality and Environmental Management granted KGHM CUPRUM according to ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 standards requirements. The participation of wide range of interested parties during the standard development process warrants their direct impact on the scope and quality of regulations and technical procedures described in the standards as well as their promotion at the domestic and foreign markets.

Our offer includes also working out plant standards for the KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., capital group companies within the wide range of issues concerning the production and research stages requiring the standardisation, pointed by the customer. On the request of our customers we include in our standards the statements from the newest international, European and foreign standards.

Technical Committee makes also amendments and applies for implementing changes into already existing PN standards. The high level of the standards being developed is secured by the representative 12 people team of Mining, Mineral Processing and Ore Analyses Technical Committee, including specialists from the University of Mining and Metallurgy, the Non-ferrous Metals Institute, KOMAG, Technical University of Wrocław, State Mining Authority, Polish Standardisation Committee (Mining and Metallurgy Team), KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., Quality Tests Centre from Lubin as well as experts from KGHM CUPRUM. We are the authors of dozens of PN standards. CUPRUM employees represent KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. in other Technical Committees.
